Returning to medical school at HKU was the fulfillment of a childhood dream—to become a doctor, not just as a profession, but as a calling to leave a lasting legacy in the lives of others. With a heart set on giving people second chances, instilling hope, and making the world a better place, I embarked on six years marked by grit and perseverance. The journey was filled with countless late nights and the challenge of adapting to an entirely new lifestyle, all of which proved to be a humbling experience and a profound revelation of life’s true meaning. In medicine, I witnessed the closest encounters between life and death, moments that reshaped my soul much like wine aging in a barrel—enriched by both tears and sweat. Emerging from this transformative path, I came to deeply appreciate the greatness and dignity of humanity.

Taking a leap of faith, I left the public health system and entered the private sector to be trained in aesthetic medicine, learning directly from masters in the field. My patients became clients, and I began caring for the finest details, meeting the most demanding standards of perfection. Working in partnership with a dedicated team, I managed over 300 cases a month, constantly refining my techniques to deliver results. The workload was intense—six, sometimes seven days a week—but the satisfaction of helping people become the best version of themselves was truly rewarding. I came to realize that aesthetics is not just about making people look better; it is an act of self-love and self-actualization, empowering individuals to express themselves and build confidence. Beyond my clinical work, I ventured into a diverse range of businesses, participated in research on regenerative medicine, and helped translate scientific breakthroughs into commercial products. I even grew an international skincare company from the ground up. Through these endeavors, I found myself drawing ever closer to my original aspiration of making the world a better place.
